From Standley to the Snake
Snake River Rowing was conceived when an unexpected job change occurred and an opportunity arose. Natalie and Ryan started PEAK Rowing Club in Westminster, CO at Standley Lake Regional Park in 2022. After four years, the club has a full board, hosts an annual Swashbuckler Scrimmage and runs a full seasonal program from novice to adaptive and experienced rowers.
When we did a site visit to Lewiston and saw the beautiful Confluence, it was a natural decision to bring rowing to the Lewis-Clark Valley. We are a US Rowing registered club in Idaho and are registered as a 501(c)(3) organization with the IRS.
We are excited for the untapped possibilities that we believe exist here. With WSU already having a strong presence on the Snake for over 50 years, expanding the rowing community here will be a natural process.
